Just a quick update with some kind of cool pictures. We are remodeling our bathroom. I’ll post some pictures when we are done, but for the time being it is enough to know that we are putting tile down and have it all cut to the proper sizes.
The tile, when cut, has some pretty sharp edges. We planned on putting the tile on Saturday, so we laid it all out that morning in the hall in neat stacks. One thing led to another and we didn’t get it put in on Saturday after all, but since I didn’t have to work today we though we’d do it today.
So Saturday night after the lights were out I was walking down the hall and stumbled over the tile and about broke my little toe.
We didn’t think anything more, until Sunday when Mason was running down the hall and we head the tile clank like he had run into it.
.He started crying, and we figured that he just stubbed his toe like I did. But it turns out he fell face first onto a sharp piece of tile.
He was very brave at the emergency room and it didn’t hurt very much. He got X-rays and during the whole time was running around the hospital bouncing off the walls acting like he was on vacation and having a good time.
I blew up a rubber glove into a balloon for him to play with and he was causing a ruckus with it. He got nervous when the doctors were looking him over and during the X-ray, but never did cry once we got to the hospital. Instead of stitches, the doctor just put this dermabond stuff on his nose which seems to be doing a good job.
And today we got the tile in so it won’t happen again.
