dinolandWe thought we would do something fun today, and it seemed like the perfect time to visit one of America’s great roadside attractions. A few weeks ago I read an article in USA Today about Dinosaur Land. It is a combination prehistoric park/tourist trap that is probably about as accurate as a first grade science project, but the kids loved it. Judging by the number of other families there, other kids like it as well.

It has fiberglass replicas of many of the most famous dinosaurs, along with their scientific names and a few facts about them. There are also a few crazy things like a model of King Kong and a giant octopus. The timing was perfect because Mason has been watching this video about a “megalodon” or prehistoric giant shark. Although he calls it a “megaloover”. And sure enough, they have a 60 foot giant shark there that the kids can climb inside.
