After the last snowstorm we had, school was canceled for several days. The storm began as rain, the switched to snow, then back and forth between the two. Finally, it got over and then the temperature dropped quite a bit, so all the slush and snow and ice got frozen solid. There was a few inches of the stuff all over the yard and hills so the kids went out and played on it.

We went sledding at a nearby hill a couple days later and if it hadn’t melted before then it would have been like a bobsled track. As it was, we still got going pretty fast and the kids had a good time.
