We went for another hike in the backyard yesterday. Mason just grabbed a bag, packed some stuff in in and said, “Let’s go for a hike.” So we all went along with him. It was a really nice day, so it wasn’t hot or humid at all.

So last week it was about a million degrees with a million percent humidity. It was so hot my motorcycle overheated. Needless to say, we had the air conditioning on nonstop.
One day, Heidi had the air on and was in the bedroom for a while and when she came out, she noticed Mason sitting at the computer, trying to play.
As you can see from the pictures, he evidently thought the air conditioning was set a little too low.

Mason and Whitney finally finished up their swimming season today, and they both ended up doing pretty well. In the finals today, Mason took second place in his backstroke heat, and Whitney did very well in her relay also.
Mason also swam in a relay and in the 25 meter freestyle. Over the last couple days, they have also been practicing diving off the block, and both of them are able to do it well. Whitney can hold her breath (more…)

We told the kids that we would take them to Kings Domion sometime this summer and finally got a chance a couple weeks ago. I took a Friday off of work and we went down there. The nice thing is that it is only about 45 miles away from here, so we didn’t have to get up super early in the morning and we could stay till it closed.
The kids had a great time. Whitney loves the rides and is pretty brave. She went on all the rides she was tall enough to go on, even some of the big and scary roller coasters and water slides. Mason wasn’t tall enough to go on the same ones Whitney did, but he was able to go on the Scooby Doo “ghoster coaster” about a (more…)
