masonhikingWe went for another hike in the backyard yesterday. Mason just grabbed a bag, packed some stuff in in and said, “Let’s go for a hike.” So we all went along with him. It was a really nice day, so it wasn’t hot or humid at all.

One of the things we found was an area in the forest where there were a lot of vines. So we spent some time playing on the vines. The kids found one that was just like a swing, so the sat on it and played, then I climbed one until bugs started biting my hands and bark kept falling in my face.

When we were climbing the mountain, we came to a part in the path that had a thorny piece of bush blocking the way. Heidi was going to step over it, but Mason told her to stop so he could take care of it. So he grabbed his sword out of the back of his shirt and started whacking it to cut it. You can see from the picture he was well prepared for hiking.
