One of the things that Senators can do is request special tours of the Capitol Dome. There is some neat stories about the dome, how and why it was built and how all the painting inside was done.

Last Friday, Senator Craig took a few of us on one of these tours. It was pretty cool. we got to walk about outside on the dome, and it was a clear day so we could see forever. We could see where the old used to be and see the paintings from up close.

The dome is so large that the entire Statue of Liberty could fit inside the dome.
