Trip to the MuseumAnother day that Dan and Amy were here we went to the Museum of Natural History and the Air and Space Museum. These museums can be a lot of fun when they aren’t crowded, the Air and Space one has a fair number of cool things for the kids to do, and we hoped that being on a weekday when school was still in session that it wouldn’t be crowded, but they both were pretty busy. Plus, they were filming “Night at the Museum Two” in the Air and Space museum, so a lot of the fun exhibits were closed off, and we only got to see a bunch of extras, which I took a picture of.

As usual, the highlight of the day was a trip to the gift shop, where we paid five dollars for a bag of rocks. That’s right, a bag of rocks. They are polished though, and the kids named them. So that was fun.

Mason and Hailey really had a good time together the whole vacation, as you can see from the pictures. They really had fun hanging out and we are glad they all could come out. The worst part of the trip was when I realized that here in America, in our Nation’s Capital, there are museum placards that are written in metric. I took pictures of them. I think I’ll bring it up with my Senator.
